THINGS WE DISLIKE ABOUT SHARON TOWNSHIP
THE MAJORITY OF RESPONDENTS HAD NO DISLIKES, BUT OTHERS STRONGLY EXPRESSED THEIR DISLIKE OF:
THREAT OF ANNEXATION BY WADSWORTH
INCREASING TRAFFIC
HIGH SPEED LIMITS
TAXES
LOSS OF GREEN SPACE, WILDLIFE, AND VIEWS
LOSS OF AGRICULTURE
DEVELOPMENT
LOCAL GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE
LACK OF RECREATIONAL SPACES
The additional comment section is not easily broken down into bullet points. Often the comments were specific issues that were not relevant to zoning and were contradicted by another respondent (I moved here to be free to shoot guns versus please do something about all the gun shooting.)
Many respondents wrote about road maintenance. Overall they are happy with road care, but many expressed dismay about timing of snow removal. There did not seem to be a clear understanding that different entities take care of our roads.
There was a tremendous amount of thought given before responding. Some took time to include possible solutions to Township problems. Some asked what they could do to stop annexation threats. Overall we are a happy group of people living here, but we are aware that work needs to continue to keep Sharon the community we love.
